Liners for Soldiers If you
prefer working with wool and would like to support our
troops, knit up some helmet liners for soldiers.
Operation Support our Troops is not a guild supported
project but GSLKG member Anita Hellstrom has offered to
collect liners to mail on (or you can mail yours direct
to the address shown on their webpage). Note:
liners should be made of 100% natural fibers such as a
soft wool (Cascade 220 or similar gauge), Alpaca or Cashmere,
etc. (include note with fiber content or yarn label) &
colors are limited to: black (preferred color),
charcoal, brown, tan or olive drab. There
is also a pattern for cotton "neck coolers"
they need. If you have any questions, you can email
Anita Hellstrom at the email address in your guild directory
or via info@stlouisknittersguild.com.
